Everything You Need To Know About WoW Classic — Queues, Download, Subscriptions And More

As we all know, World of Warcraft (a.k.a WoW) has already changed a lot since it was initially launched 15 years ago, and as much as players have enjoyed seeing the world shaken to its core by the Cataclysm or picking sides in the Battle for Azeroth, it's pretty easy to miss the simple joys of its original incarnation. Now Blizzard is allowing you to go back with World of Warcraft Classic in time, a restart of the original WoW game with some only minor functionality tweaks. And in this post, here's all you need to know about to jump back in to a much simpler Azeroth, which is now available, although with some temporary hiccups in terms of WoW Classic server queues, completing quests, and some more.

  General Information:

Release Date And Server Launch Time:

World of Warcraft Classic (a.k.a WoW Classic) is officially set to release on August 27 globally, and that means this game would be a slightly earlier August 26 launch in the Americas and parts of Europe to keep aligned with the local release times in all regions. Just as noted below, and now that time has passed, and this re-release game is officially live all around the whole world.

●6 PM ET (North America) on August 26
●3 PM PT (North America) on August 26
●11 PM BST (Europe) on August 26
●8 AM AEST (Australia) on August 27

WoW Classic Server Down Errors And Long Queues:

World of Warcraft was just as expected; the launch was brought with it a huge surge of interest. Therefore, WoW Classic players are encountering very long server queues, and, what's worse, in some cases, errors about servers being down. According to Blizzard Entertainment said it was anticipating too high demand and possible very long wait times for joining up as long as the servers go live. You might want to consider creating or moving your characters to a pretty low population server if you are eager to jump in at once and do not want to wait any longer.

Particularly, in the European region, Blizzard entertainment has already warned players about an issue right now related to making purchases just through Battle.net. Just as noted below, WoW classic is also tied to WoW subscriptions, and this issue could see you add game time to your account but not be able to make use of that time immediately. This will manifest itself in the form of an error saying "active game time is required to play" WoW Classic. Blizzard Entertainment says it may take up to 24 hours for your purchased game time to register; therefore, you will potentially need to be patient before you can get it.

    WoW Classic In-Game Lines:

Once you do get in, do not expect the experience to be a normal one — at least right now. With so many players all starting up at the same point, it's become a pretty hard challenge to complete what should be quite simple quests. Cause a lot of players are essentially competing for kills of some certain enemy types, you might be forced to wait a very long time for them to respawn. In some circumstances, players actually have already begun forming tidy lines in this game as they wait for their turn.

WoW Classic What's The Same And What's Different:

WoW Classic aims to be an authentic recreation of the original vanilla World of Warcraft, as of the 1.12 patch. And that brings the game up to its state as of August 22, 2006, just before the Burning Crusade expansion.

The Classic format promises classic raids just like Molten Core and Onyxia, the classic talent structure, and the world as it stood as of that time during the game's lifespan. It sports the original game's combat mechanics, character models and, even skill trees. Meanwhile, that also means that the game will lack some convenience features like raid finder. The Blizzard Studio even issued a "Not a Bug" list to clarify that some systems being flagged as bugs by players were actually working as intended.

Well, there's still one point that WoW Classic players need to pay attention, which is the game has not remained entirely untouched. Blizzard Entertainment wanted the game to reflect the original WoW, but, actually, it did implement some small quality-of-life updates.

Well, just because this game has not changed too much, so to some extent, to earn the gold in this game is still extremely tough, and now we have already discovered some players typed "wow classic gold for sale" on google and want to buy as much gold as possible. Guess what, now you can have as much as gold by clicking here, and the price is much cheaper and lower than other market prices. Interested? Now visit it!

WoW Classic lead engineer Brian Birmingham told us in the interview: "Anything that would affect gameplay we want to make sure that we deliver something that is authentic...Where we feel like quality-of-life improvements are okay are things like, tabbing to complete a name in in-game mail. And we all know that's not a core part of the gameplay experience of leveling, and questing, and trying to explore the world."

  WoW Classic How Subscriptions Work:

If now you are already a subscriber to World of Warcraft, then it means that you are already a subscriber to WoW Classic as well. One subscription entitles you to both games. As a matter of fact, the same goes the other direction. If you have already signed up for a WoW subscription for WoW Classic, then you will get entry to standard World of Warcraft as well.

WoW Classic Last But Not Least How to Download:

WoW of Warcraft Classic has its own client separate from your standard World of Warcraft installation, but it would be a little tricky to find it. Cause it does not have its own tab on the Battle.net launcher. Instead, it could be found within the World of Warcraft tab. You will find WoW Classic in the Version drop-down menu just above the Install button.
