The Most Difficult Enemy To Find In Fallout 76 Is Probably The Flatwoods Monster

It is not very hard to understand that of all the enemies in Fallout 76, the cryptids in the game are the toughest to track down. For instance, the Mothman and Wendigo could be very hard to find if you do not know where to search. However, according to what Bethesda says, the most elusive of them all is the mysterious Flatwoods Monster. This alien-like being is certainly difficult to find, but if you are really interested in hunting this rare cryptid, there are some places you can have a try.

To be honest, the Fallout 76 Flatwoods Monster is a little shy, but we can not blame him with how dangerous Appalachia can be! --Quoted from Twitter
In Fallout 76 Where You Can Find The Flatwoods Monster:

In Fallout 76, the Flatwoods Monster is unique among the assorted cryptids because it appears to be a real alien life-form. Certainly, aliens are already canon in the Fallout setting, but this alien being seems to be a different kind of alien to those which appeared in the game of Fallout 3's DLC (Downloadable Content) or as an Easter egg in both Fallout 76 and 4. One of the reasons why this is so hard to find is that it only shows as a random encounter; until now there is still no place in the game where you can go to guarantee to get one. What's more frustrating is the monster can spawn in two different forms. Only this monster appears in hostile form can be killed, the passive form would simply vanish if players try to attack or approach it.

Even though there is no way to guarantee to encounter a Flatwoods Monster, there are some places where they seem to spawn more reliably. The perfect place is to go to Abbie's Bunker in The Mire; sometimes a Flatwoods Monster may spawn nearby. Plus, please try to check the surroundings of Johnson's Acre, Top of the World, and the Converted Munitions Factory public Workshop. Other possible spawning places contain southeast of Spruce Knob Channels, the forest to the west of Wilson Brother's Auto Repair, and over the river from Dyer Chemical.

As long as you actually find a Flatwoods Monster, you will involve in a tough fight. The cryptid could teleport and regenerate large amounts of health. Apart from the standard version, there are two much stronger variants; the Mythical Flatwoods Monster and the Fabled Flatwoods Monster. If you want an edge against this enemy, attempt to first find the fifth issue of Tales from the West Virginia Hills, that magazine will offer you a  +15% damage bonus against the Flatwoods Monster. But meanwhile, that would be a much tougher fight than any other Flatwoods Monster. Here is the Fallout 76 strategy guide about how to find the Flatwoods Monster.
