Gnome Race Guide In World of Warcraft: Classic Game

World of Warcraft: Classic has been successfully launched for nearly one month, and a lot of players are considering all of their choices for races now in this game, and Gnomes could be a perfect choice for some certain classes and a fun choice for some others. Just like each race, there is pretty rich lore that player might enjoy having part of their character's backstory, while others might enjoy having access to a specific type of abilities, racial mount, and of course, access to some certain classes.

The Lore Of Gnomes In World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic:

In the game, Gnomes are famous for their brilliance and their eccentricity. Wherever we see them, their obsession is always towards new technology and engineering in WoW Classic. Some veteran players might still remember that the Gnomes once lived in Gnomeregan in Dun Morogh very near their Dwarven kin. Unluckily, the capital city to the Gnomes race was overrun by a trogg invasion. In the days to come, the actions of High Tinker Gelbin Mekkatorque resulted in the death of about 80% of the Gnome population, with others becoming the crazed leper Gnomes we see in-game. Anyway, this is a very unlucky race.

After that happened, the Gnomes have taken refuge in Iron Forge, where their technological influence is still readily observable. Their technology is observable in the wars against the Horder, offering flying machines and steam-powered vehicle.

The Racial Abilities Of Gnomes In World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic:

Though each class has perks when it comes to active and passive abilities, Gnomes are particularly excelling in Spellcasting and Engineering. (Here are some of Gnomes' racial abilities, you can check in the following:)

  ①Arcane Resistance: Arcane Resistance increased.

②Engineering Specialization: The skill of Engineering increased by 15.

③Escape Artist: Escape the effects of any immobilization or movement speed reduction effect.

④Expansive Mind: This ability will increase intelligence by 5%.

Expansive Mind is what puts Gnomes over the top in terms of Mage and Warlock class selection. The 5% to intelligence is massive in the endgame, but only for those trying to minimum/maximum their players. If a player does not enjoy the look and feel of Gnomes, any race would be perfectly fine for those classes for the majority of players in the game.

Escape Artist is a pretty convenient tool for PvP because the remaining mobile is one of the most important things to do on the battlefield. Particularly as a Spellcaster, the player needs to remain unrestrained and able to get away from melee classes, and this ability is always welcome as a lifesaver.

The Available Classes Of Gnomes In World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic:

Gnomes seem to have much fewer class choices than most, but here comes a total of four selections in World of Warcraft: Classic game.

The First One: Mage: Just as we stated earlier, Gnomes are the perfect choice among all for Alliance Mages, in both PvP and PvE mode. There is also a pretty satisfying feeling of launching a Pyroblast from the tiny frame of a Gnome.

The Second One: Rogue: Thanks to Escape Artist, Gnomes can be a great choice for Alliance Rogues in PvP mode. Apart from that, their small size can make it much easier to get the drop on opponents, unlike World of Warcraft: Classic Taurens for instance, who can be seen lumbering in the very long distance.

The Third One: Warlock: For the same reasons as the Mage class, Gnomes, in fact, are also the best race for Alliance Warlocks for both PvP and PvE mode, and again look ridiculous but it is pretty wonderful in commanding large demons.

The Fourth One: Gnomes Warriors are pretty effective in PvP mainly due to Escape Artist, but lack the weapon specialization of Humans and Dwarves. However, seeing a Gnome Warrior tank a raid boss has always been so wonderful. These little Warriors taking the brunt of the damage for their guild looks ridiculous, and fantastic all at once. If a player is not looking to minimum/maximum a character, then this is a perfectly viable option.

The Racial Mount Of Gnomes In World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic:

In this game, Gnomes are peculiar with regards to their mounts, selecting to build their own rather than mess about with a living creature. The result is the Mechanostriders, which are again locked only to Alliance races, also means that we will not be seeing any Taurens riding them for quite a long time. Let's take a look at these seven mounts' price, and the prices are marked with WoW Classic Gold.

①Blue Mechanostrider: 80 gold, 72 with reputation discount
②Green Mechanostrider: 80 gold, 72 with reputation discount
③Red Mechanostrider: 80 gold, 72 with reputation discount
④Unpainted Mechanostrider: 80 gold, 72 with reputation discount
⑤Swift Green Mechanostrider: 1000 gold, 900 with reputation discount
⑥Swift White Mechanostrider: 1000 gold, 900 with reputation discount
⑦Swift Yellow Mechanostrider: 1000 gold, 900 with reputation discount

Due to their racial abilities, Gnomes are the perfect choice for both the Mage and Warlock classes. Combined with their natural inclination towards curiosity, they finally also can be a wonderful class to role-play.

  1. In terms of skill effects, the coolness of the half-screen particles and light effects flying around is so exciting, this is also the reason why people are willing to buy cheap Lost Ark gold coins.
