Now World of Warcraft Classic is officially back, and we can continue playing this nostalgic game. Running through that old and familiar plains promises to delight a lot of veterans and newcomers alike. But, at the same time, that is also World of Warcraft without any of the modern improvements.

If now you have already get used to the 8-12 hour leveling expectation that comes in modern World of Warcraft expansions, then WoW Classic's average leveling time will make you upset. Unless you become an extremely hardcore player in the end, you will probably spend more time leveling in World of Warcraft Classic than you will ever spend in the endgame. And also, you are probably going to need some help to get to level 60.

Now here are five tips to help you get started on your leveling journey in World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic and make the most of your in-game time. If you are interested, please keep reading:

First Of All: It Is Going To Take A Very Long Time:

That means it's going to take the average players at least 6 or 7 full days worth of in-game time to hit the level of 60. To make this more specifically, we are not saying 6 or 7 days of playing really hard going to bed, spending some time with your family, and eating healthy. What we mean 6 or 7 full days worth of time, or 144 or 168 hours.

Since it's going to take you some time to get to the endgame, you'd better enjoy it. Get a second monitor or a laptop and then catch up on TV shows while you play this game. We heard to combine work with pleasure is especially good for your health.

Whatever you do, do not burn yourself out and go too overboard. You should be aware that World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic is the pinnacle example of a marathon, not the sprint. You might not hit 60 level for a few months. Do not panic; just follow your pace that will be OK.

  Secondly: Use A Leveling Add-On:

You players might see it as against the Classic experience, but you should know that an add-on will incredibly speed up your leveling time. Classic does not tell you where to pick up WoW Classic items for your quests, or where the monsters you need to kill live. And if you really want to know where to go, you need to read the quest text and then learn to decipher it by using your map.

Or you also can skip all that nonsense and use an add-on to tell you where to go and what to pick up.

According to our experience, we recommend Classsic's players to use Azeroth Auto Pilot - Classic. Because it keeps tracking of what you need to do, and then tells you where you need to go next, and that can optimize your time in maximize way.

Do not know how to install add-ons? We are here to help, step one, download the Twitch App, and then go to Mods, and click on World of Warcraft. step two, change your game version in the upper-right corner to World of Warcraft Classic, step three, start searching for add-ons you probably want to use. What's more, you also can look through the popular section to find some great options for yourself.

If you want to download something not on Twitch, for example, the popular ElvUi interface add-on, first, you'll need to find it online, second, download the ZIP file and then extract it to World of Warcraft > Classic > Interface > AddOns on whatever drive you have Classic installed.

Here you can check this giant list of amazing World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic addons.

Thirdly: It's OK To Ignore Your Class Quests:

In the game of World of Warcraft Classic, every class comes with flavor quests tailored to their role. But these quests are not just for lore, they also provide you with some unique abilities. But just because you get new class-specific quest does not mean that you have to do it right away.

Class quests will throw off your groove when you get them. Sometimes that's OK, and the ability you gain will speed you up in the end. Other times the adventure is just a total waste at your current level. For instance, Horde-only Shamans have a bunch of quests to create their signature Totems. In order to get the Water Totems, Shamans need to travel all the way to the Eastern Kingdoms. And it will take a very long time in the game, and you're better off waiting until you can find a Mage to send you to Undercity.

For some other classes, it might be different. Some of your quests may be very easy, and some of them may be a lot of work. If now you are on a groove, do not bother with the class quests. Wait until you absolutely need them before you spend an hour trying to get to one quest location.

Fourth: Here Is How You Want To Prioritize Questing:

In World of Warcraft Classic game, there are neutral zones that any faction can use, and also there are faction-specific zones. Please keep in mind that stick your faction's zones whenever you can.

When you are questing through faction-specific zones, you can get a few benefits. Unless you are now on a faction heavy server—which means your server is mostly Horde or mostly Alliance, you will find a much smaller population in your faction-specific zones. That means you will spend much less time waiting for enemies to spawn so you can kill them more easily.

If you are on a PvP server, you will also reduce your run-ins with enemy players. Remember, the less time you spend dead/defending yourself from the enemy faction, the more time you will have to complete quests.

Below are the faction-specific zones and their level ranges. For a complete list of zones and their leveling bracket. Let's take a look at this (Listed in alphabetical order).

  ALLIANCE:

      *Darkshore (11-19)
      *Duskwood (10-30)
      *Loch Modan (10-18)
      *Redridge Mountains (15-25)
      *Westfall (9-18)
      *Wetlands (20-30)

  HORDE:

      *Silverpine Forest (10-20)
      *Stonetalon Mountains (15-25)
      *The Barrens (10-33)

    Fifth: Do Your Dungeons:

If you want to level up in WoW Classic, it takes a lot of time, and meanwhile, it's slow and long. And what's worse, it also can be very tedious, especially if you have been in The Barren for the past 50 hours.

In World of Warcraft Classic, dungeons are a great way to boost up your experience and save yourself from that madness of questing. If you can find a group of friends around your level - or randoms in general chat, then you should hop in and finish a dungeon or two dungeons.

For Horde players, you will be access to the Ragefire Chasm in Orgrimmar around level 13 or so. Unluckily, Alliance players will need to wait until level 17 for the Deadmines in Westfall. The Wailing Caverns in the Northern Barrens also becomes available for both factions around level seventeen.

All in all, the WoW Classic leveling process is pretty time consuming, but also very peaceful. If you follow our advice, keep calm, and use some useful tools to make your life much easier. The above are all the tips you need to know about if you want to level up as quickly as you can.
